- a strong safety net of family and friends(英語)
Life & Asset
I don't think it's good to be content with having little money when you're young. That seems like you're lowering your expectations so you can be satisfied with your situation.

On the other hand, maintaining high financial expectations throughout your life is also problematic. As you grow older, you should cultivate the spirit and skills to enjoy life even without money.
Herein lies the problem: While ideally, you would time the consumption of your assets with your death, with unexpected illnesses, that can be very difficult.
In the end, I suppose the best way a person can prepare is to develop a strong safety net of family and friends.
In the U.S., that network is your church, school, or local community. It is a little surprising for Japanese people to hear that such a network exists in America, much like old Japanese society.
