ウッドストックでのCSN＆Yは衝撃的でした。福岡市城南中学3年の時に『4 Way Street』がリリースされ自分の持っているギターとは全く音が違うことに戸惑いました。同級生の S君と毎日レコードを聴きながら頭を抱えました。レギュラーチューニング以外に別のチューニングがあるなんて想像すらしなかったのです。

当時は映像もなかったので、どう弾いているのか全く分からない。中三の一学期中悩んで諦めました。夏休みに大阪に引っ越しフォークロック愛好家の S君とも別れ、私の興味の対象はCSN&Yからクラプトンのクリームに移りました。

あれから半世紀、今やYouTubeにはチューニングの仕方から丁寧に弾き方を教えてくれる映像がいっぱいです。Easy come Easy go です。

CSN&Y at Woodstock was shocking. Soon after Woodstock, "4 Way Street" was released, and I was confused by the fact that the guitar sound was completely different from the guitar I had. I was scratching my head while listening to the record every day with my classmate. I didn't even imagine that there was another tuning other than regular tuning.

At that time, there was no video, so I had no idea how they were playing. I worried about it all semester before summer vacation and gave up. Then, I moved to Osaka, and my interest shifted from CSN&Y to Clapton's Cream. 　

Half a century has passed since then, and now YouTube is full of videos that teach you how to tune and how to play carefully. Easy come easy go.
