Cooking is like experimenting. You try anyway. I fail, but I wouldn't stop. It is just like everyone's life. You don't give up even if you don't get recognition. It's true for my "Niku-jyaga"(Japanese beef and potatoes). Even if you fail, you keep on making it. Failure is a part of my life. It's food for thought. This time, Niku-jyaga was well done.
Education before the 15-year war of the Showa period placed more importance on the “ears” and the “mouth. However, in the 80 years after the defeat of the war, education was focused on “eyes” with an emphasis on entrance examinations.
Cooking and music are not interesting unless there is someone to eat and listen to them. Studying for exams alone is boring. Knowledge that you think with your eyes is in the past tense. It is like accounting versus finance. It doesn't produce originality.
The “ears” and “mouth” are more important than the “eyes. When the intellectual activity performed by the mouth stops, the elderly become blurred. A guitarist should sing even if he is tone deaf. It is always better to think with the eyes, ears, and mouth in a balanced manner. And when multiple eyes, ears, and mouths come together, new things are created.
It is freedom and creation. The base of freedom is responsibility. Japanese education has taken away freedom and deprived children of their ears and mouths. Because there is no freedom (Japanese equality), people do not think about responsibility. It has been 100 years since the Showa era. We still don't realize it.
